So I am assuming that almost everyone here has played at least one of the homeworld games. Those include Homeworld , HW Cataclysm and Homeworld 2.
Its a tough one for me as I loved all 3. I think I preferred HW1s structure of researching various components and technology before you could construct a new ship and I preferred the different choice of ships to HW2. I think the second game was a bit too conservative in its approach to the tech tree and didn't do anything as unique as HW.
I think all 3 had a strong story. I found the progenitors in HW2 very interesting and racing to find Sajuuk was very fun. HW was more emotional and had many more unique scenarios as well. There were always new and interesting ships and enemies along the way which were unique to the single player.
Despite the strong points of both the other games, for me I think its got to be Cataclysm. I really liked the idea of turning your mining ship into a proper mothership through the course of the game and for me the Beast is the most interesting enemy in the series. At times the single player is more of a horror game as you hear the beast eating away at the defenceless crews of their victim ships. Trying to uncover what the beast is and where it came from had me racing through the single player.
Now my 42 paragraphs are out the way what was your favourite homeworld?

My Sister has recently bought a gaming laptop & has asked me to recommend some worthy single player action RPG's (she's a big LOZ fan) I hardly play these types of games myself & the only thing I could think of was Kingdoms Of Amalur Reckoning.. I don't think she's bothered how old they are as long as they have a good story & a decent amount of content.
Your suggestions would be much appreciated.

Recently quit WoW because none of my friends play and I found it not worth the subscription. What is a good MMORPG to play that is free?

Shovel Knight
Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai
Guns'n'Zombies (which despite being a generic mobile port is really **** good. If you combine L4D 2 missions and Diablo 3 and add guns, turrets and drones you get this game. Still early access, but got it in a bundle along with a few other prettty cool games.
Orcs Must Die, Unchained beta: best MOBA ever
Enslaved, Basically Uncharted for the PC.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 2: Basicall a full game of the All ghillied up mission off CoD. Only better looking.
And got every class to lvl 70 in diablo 3.
And I just ran out of **** co-codamol and can't get more until tomorrow.

I just picked it up from Humble Bundle for 3.99 and I was wondering since a lot of people play Civilization V and like games on this site if you can rebind the camera movement to say Mouse 3 (middle mouse button) and the mouse so instead of moving across the screen to shift the camera I can just hold Mouse 3 and move like in Civilization V. Much nicer feel and I don't have to move any hand across the keyboard to the arrow keys.
